PRECISION RANCHING

Your experienced ranch hand.
Built to never quit.

01 Observe
02 Decide
03 Act

The future of ranching: drones, cameras, and collars that see every animal and acre, help you decide what needs doing, and do it. Starting with collars designed for reliable, precise moves several times a day.

  • Built by ranchers, for ranchers
  • Proudly built in America
  • Your ranch data stays yours
02 — THE COLLARS

We built the collar we couldn't buy.

First product

We run a high-density operation and build alongside ranchers who graze intensively. We needed precise boundaries, dependable communication, and collars that stay on cattle. So we decided to build our own.

Whether you move monthly, weekly or several times a day, take finer control of how your cattle graze.

Higher density. More frequent moves.
Foot-level positioning accuracy so you can graze at higher density, make more frequent moves, and manage grass and rest with greater precision.
Control your herd, wherever and whenever.
Cellular, satellite, and short-range Bluetooth let you reach your herd beyond cellular coverage and keep control when a network goes down.
Collars that stay on cattle.
A collar that falls off means fetching it and working your herd to put it back on. We're building for secure, reliable retention, so collars save you work instead of creating more.
The first piece of your whole-ranch system.
The collars can work on their own or connect with drones and cameras as the system develops—bringing better information to your grazing decisions.
EARLY ACCESS

Move more often.

Tell us how you graze and what you want to do next. We'll follow up to discuss whether Rooted is a fit.

Your ranch data stays yours.

03 — OUR RANCHES

We are ranchers, too.

We run cattle operations in Kansas and Mississippi. Keeping collars on cattle, setting accurate boundaries, and bringing drones and cameras into the same system are challenges we're working on in our own operations.

That work shapes what we build at Rooted.

04 — THE SYSTEM

The collars move cattle. Drones and cameras help you decide when and where.

Drones and cameras observe the pasture and the herd. Rooted brings those observations together to inform your grazing decisions. You decide what to do; the collars carry out the move you set.

01 · OBSERVE

See the pasture and the herd.

Drones and cameras provide the observations: how the pasture is being used, rumen fill, and body condition. Together, they show what's happening to the grass and the cattle.

Drones flying today. Cameras in development.

02 · DECIDE

Make an informed grazing decision.

We're building the system to bring pasture utilization, rumen fill, and body condition together, so you can decide when, where, and how long your cattle graze.

Decision support in development.

03 · ACT

Carry out the move.

You set the move. The collars carry it out, putting your grazing decision into action.

Collars are our first product.

After each move, new observations of the pasture and cattle help you judge the result and inform your next decision.

05 — THE THESIS

The bottleneck on American ranching isn't land.
It's labor and information.

Great ranching has always been about reading the herd and the ground — which pasture's ready, which cow's off, when to move and when to wait. The best ranchers have always known this by instinct. The limit was never the knowing. It was that no one can be everywhere at once, seeing everything, every day.

More timely information. Less work between deciding and doing. That's how we want to put more of your ranch within reach.

06 — WHY IT'S DIFFERENT

A dependable hand alongside your crew.

The most valuable thing on a ranch is that person who knows every animal, reads the pasture, and knows when to act. That kind of expertise was always scarce and today it's harder than ever to find.

We're building Rooted to give you more control over your day: less time tied to routine tasks, more time for the decisions that matter and the work you enjoy. Time out with your herd, on your land, on your schedule.
